Creating an account is necessary so domain names and related services can be easily managed by customers from within their account. Contact details and payment details can also be stored for use when purchasing additional items or renewing services.
Once an account is created, the customer is not required to re-submit their details when purchasing additional domain names & services, but can assign the purchases to their existing account.
For designers & developers who register domain names and related services on their clients behalf, there is also the option to create profiles for their clients from within an account. This allows designers/developers to easily manage their clients domains & services from within one account.
